intergenerational drama project

Haven't updated for a while! I am trying to be happy and live an enriching life, especially after the intergenerational drama project. It has really inspired me, to care more for my own parents. Sometimes, you feel obliged to help your parents when you seem to be helping other elderly rather than your own. However, for me, this obligation is changing to true concern. Obligation just gives a very negative connotation to me, like as if one doesn't want to do something, but is forced to do it. It was so heart warming especially yesterday, when the 82 year old lady apologised to me. I was so puzzled, so I asked her why. She said that she was sorry for her hearing disability being a liability to us. I was speechless, i never ever thought of it that way! But this made me realise that these elderly care for us as well. :')

Sometimes, you tend to see things pigeon-holed(heh).
You see it as yourself helping the elderly, yes you are enjoying yourselves while helping them, but you don't really think about what you get in return, actually you are not supposed to be even thinking about what you get in return because you are genuinely helping. However, this gesture really moved me. For before one has this gesture, he/she must have the thoughts and feelings, which are derived from the heart.

All these community service have really driven me to work even harder, to stay more optimistic. These elderly, the truth is that, most of their life has passed. Yet they always smile, and seem free of troubles. I'm not going to focus on whether it's true, but the fact they can bring themselves to smile, proves they are either very very happy, or very strong. This is something we should learn from them as youths. We have a long life ahead of us, and we should thus be happier and appeased with what we have! I am really proud of being in Interact. People always give me the ._. face when I say I'm from Interact. I say, why does it bother you when it doesn't bother me when it's MY cca, not yours. I am not angry btw, just proving a point. I don't care about people's opinions, just about my own enjoyable experience in Interact.

busy week

so pw grouping is out. Quite happy with it. :)
I shall be more tolerant and less bitchy since the groupings are finalised!
Loads of Ups and Downs today though. But i shall not be defined by my downs! :)

Anyways, this week is soooo freakingg busy! Going out for dinner with jasmine tomorrow!
On saturday, going out with the gurlz to swim, and on sunday, prolly going out with melody to find my monologue!

Hope I have time to complete the massive amount of work I had to do.
On a bright note, I had 2.4km run today, which means I don't need to do 2.4km again yay! :D
I still have my exco speech to work on! Praying hard I'll get the job!
This term is busy, but so far I'm enjoying myself!
I am so freaking broke and I have to stop online shopping for 3months!!!
Just bought some stuffs from etsy though heehee, can't wait to get it! Fruit loops lip balm+ Vanilla sugar cookie perfume stick!
And i still want to watch a lot of plays -.- MONEY PLEASE DROP FROM THE SKY.

Couple of camwhores oop

So many things undone! I haven't studied for math, haven't done my TSD, haven't found my monologue, haven't watched all the econs lectures! haven't done my draft 3 :( ARGHHHH SO BUSYYYY. I need to buck up seriouslyyy. Going to run 2.4km with jingxuan later, hopefully it doesn't rain!!!

Tiring week

Arghh! So depressing! I wanted to place ticket orders for Freud's Last Session but ALL the tickets were sold except for Saturday 10pm, and obviously I can't make it. I NEED TO CHECK AVAILABILITY OF TICKETS BEFORE GETTING HYPED UP AGAIN. GRRRR.
Really busy week, going home at 5.30pm everyday. My PI is finally accepted. I really need to study econs but I keep procrastinating! And training NAPFA. I DONT WANT THIRD PERIOD PE.

mini update

Mini update! I shall do my cny post tomorrow. My cny sucked though.

So I am sickkkkk and recovering.
I am getting new glasses! Brown coloured ones in half frame!
Still sticking to half frame cause' it doesnt block my vision.
I haven't gotten shoes, bags or anything cause' I was sick :(
I will be heading down queensway tomorrow to get some sports shoe!
Going have some bbq celebration on sat with my cousins :D
And going to bugis to shop with my sister on Sunday.
School is starting and I legit lost my essay plan for the scholarship.
I shall find time to do it tomorrow! So many last min plans!
And i need to fix my ear cause my hearing is getting worse :'(

Anyway, just a mini update before I post one tomorrow.
Can't wait for school and TSD(IF I GET IN).
Yay drama i luv it so much. :D
